The resource needed to communicate understanding of what biofilms are, what they do in our rivers and why they are relevant to antimicrobial resistance – and all to a primary school age group.

It was an interesting challenge to break down; and by working closely together with the project leads, biofilm researchers and STEM, we were able to craft a resource that was both engaging and understandable to the audience.
